Venice is one of the most visited cities in Italy and among the 50 most visited in the world.But very few tourist know,in addition to the historical and artistic beauties,the natural wonders that the city offers and in particular those linked to its lagoon.A lagoon that it is not only the main reason for the city's existence and survival,but a fantastic natural environment whit delicate balances.On a wooden boat pushed by a small engine with a native,you will discover the lagoon of Venice and its environment which is not very accessible without a boat.You will be able to escape from the mass of tourist who invade the historic center and on the boat you will be able to observe the Arsenale,the symbol of the history of the Serenissima.The heart of Venetian naval industry,imposing ships were built here on an assembly line.Surrounded by 3KM of walls,it is considered one of the first true industrial complexes in Europe.You will observe the island of Vignole.A holiday place of the first Venetians.Anciently called Biniola,or even 'of the seven vineyards',the island was a holiday destination for the inhabitants of Altino first and those of Venice later.You will observe the Island of Lazzaretto Nuovo.Archaeological finds testify to the human presence as early as the Bronze Age.In 1468 a decree of the Senate of the Serenissima established on the island a Lazzaretto with tasks of preventing infections.The island became a place of 'contumacia':here the 'forty' was put in place for ships arriving from the various ports of the Mediterranean.We will stop in a 'Ghebo'and savor some prosecco and some appetizer,we will observe the sunset with itsmagical colors.
